Frequently asked Questions
The rental price includes room rental fee, cleaning fee, tables/chairs, tablecloths, Audio/Visual in the Main Room, and Smart TV in Rooms 1-3 and Conference Room. It also includes the Event Center Manager who will be on the premises at all times for any issues or questions that may arise.
The Facility Renter will need to carry a liability policy for no less than $1,000,000 per occurrence for the dates of the event. The policy will need to name The First Assembly Worship Center of Alamogordo, New Mexico, Inc. as additional insured. Proof of policy must be
submitted 14 days prior to event. For non-corporate renters, contact our Event Manager who can help walk you through the process!
The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator and a tall warmer for your convenience when requested, however, there are no cooking capabilities on the premises.
For the safety and comfort of all guests, alcohol is not permitted on the premises. Smoking is not allowed in any of the buildings and must not take place within 50 feet of any of the buildings. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to helping you host a successful event!
- Fitted topper - best for conference style as it doesn't impede leg room (black only)
- Flowy - best for more elegant/party look that flows down the sides of the table covering portions of table legs (black or white)
- Fitted rectangle - used for tables to display items or food. Not used for tables with seating (black or white)
Absolutely! When filling out your request, simply put your set-up day and time so that the Event Manager can factor that into your request.
Feel free to enhance the ambiance of your event with decorations, provided they are respectful of maintaining the integrity of the space. Please do not attached any decorations to walls, ceilings, or doors. In order to keep the facility at it's best for current and future guests, we ask that decorations be kept to tables and floor displays.
The Event Manager will be on-site during events, however, it is not the responsibility of the FOR Otero Event Center or The Worship Center to provide any official security for the event. If you feel the need to hire an outside company, simply discuss that with our Event Manager.
Audio/visual/microphone are only available in the Main Room. Classrooms and Conference Room have Smart TVs for streaming or you can use an HDMI cable connection with your laptop.
In order ensure your event is a success in the Main Room, all audio and video are due to the Event Manager three days prior to your event. Videos must be mov. or mp3 format. Music must be a Spotify playlist. You will be responsible to run the iPad that controls the audio and the computer for any videos you may have. Don't worry, we made it very user friendly!
The Event Center Manager coordinates your Rental Request from the initial request through the end of your event. They handle unlocking and locking doors, air conditioning/heating, table and chair set-up, making sure the facility is clean and ready for your use, and will be onsite for the duration of your event for questions or concerns.
